FusionFall Beta Launches
Cartoon Network Universe announces that open beta testing of FusionFall is now available.
FusionFall is a Multiplayer Online Game that takes all of the best Cartoon Network characters and re-imagines them in an anime-inspired style, then sets them in dynamic new environments. Players create their own in-game avatars and battle alongside their favorite cartoon characters to save the world from an epic alien invasion. Along the way, players can also collect small, "super-deformed" versions of Cartoon Network characters that assist with powers and abilities during missions. There are also opportunities to socialize and team up with friends online for dynamic group gameplay.
It mixes all the action of a 3-D console platform game and all the customization, character development and open-ended world exploration of an MMORPG (massively multi-player online role-playing game).

The official release of Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall is January 14, 2009.

While FusionFallis an MMO, it also has strong roots in casual gaming. Other MMOs require players to spend hours at a time in a game to advance and level up their characters, but FusionFallis different. It's designed to be enjoyable for players who have a limited time in which to play. While you certainly can spend hours exploring this universe, you can also have a fun, action-packed experience in only 20 minutes of gameplay.
There are a host of Cartoon Network characters in the game. The stars of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Dexter's Laboratory, Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, and more. Specifics on characters will be revealed at a later time.
