The World of Warcraft
"I still plan to be very involved with the future course of World of Warcraft," and goes on to say that WoW "is still my favourite game."
In closing, Kaplan again thanks the team and the audience that made WoW a success, expressing his desire to make Blizzards new MMO just as successful.
"If anything, fuels the challenge of making our next MMO even better."
This little snippet of information may mean that the new Blizzard MMO is closer to completion than we may think, and we're sure we'll hear an announcement from Blizzard soon, possibly at their anticipated gaming conventions BlizzCon or Worldwide Invitational.
Forums have word that Blizzard's Jeffrey Kaplan is now working on Blizzard's unannounced MMORPG, moving off the World of Warcraft team where he has served as lead producer. His announcement was made via a personal post on the official forums, and included a promise to both play and stay involved with WoW while leaving the day-to-day responsibilities to Tom Chilton and J. Allen Brack. |
