Gamania Seeks to Expand with New MMO Hero: 108
Taiwan based online game operator Gamania Digital Entertainment just announced its ambitious plans for this year that it wants to expand into US and European markets this year with its proprietary cartoon titled Hero 108. It has partnered with Carton Network, a Time Warner Co subsidiary and the serial cartoon. At the soonest, Hero: 108 will debut in the US market in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2009 and in the UK at the end of 2009's 4th quarter or early 2010. Besides, a new MMO based on the animated comedy/action series has been under development. It's planned to enter US and EU in late 2009 or early 2010.
In addition, Gamania would seek to return to China this year through several new games this year including three web games, five casual and massive multiplayer online role-playing games as well as other surprises.

About the Cartoon Hero: 108
Hero:108 is a coming-of-age tale, focused on 14 year old Lin Chung (a.k.a. Panther Eye), a young warrior with special powers. Lin is part of a group of kid defenders determined to end a conflict between animals and humans in a hidden kingdom. Based on the ancient Chinese novel The Water Margin, Hero:108 features striking Asian-influenced character designs by show creator Phoenix Tarng, who is also part of Gamania in-house creative development team.
