Section 8(US&CA): CB Started
SouthPeak Interactive just announced the first wave closed beta for their newest MMOFPS Section 8. This first period of the test is only available for residents of the US and Canada. The EU version will come soon.

We understand that many members of our valued community have been unable to gain access to the Section 8 beta because they do not have a FilePlanet subscription. We are attempting to ease this limitation by working with FilePlanet to allocate a batch of keys immediately for our loyal Section 8 community. We will let you know as soon as we have an update regarding this, so stay tuned!
Also, while the first wave of the beta is limited to FilePlanet subscribers, the beta will be opened to a much wider audience over the next several weeks.

UPDATE: Great news! We have worked with FilePlanet and now have a limited number of Section 8 first wave beta keys to allocate to our Section 8 forum community! The qualifications for admittance are the same as in the initial sign up process that started on Thursday, with the only difference being no FilePlanet subscription required (however, you will still need to register for a free account with them). La Tale Ely, Emails will be going out to qualifying applicants beginning tomorrow until our allocated first wave keys have been all issued.
To our loyal European fans, unfortunately, the beta is currently only available for residents of the US and Canada. However, we are actively working with our publisher to finalize server infrastructure for the European beta. We will be expanding the beta to include your territories as soon as this is complete. In the mean time, please make sure that you have signed up for the European beta at JoinSection8.com and stay tuned for more information soon!
Finally, while the first wave of beta testing has a very limited number of overall spots available, this cap will be increasing dramatically over the next couple of weeks--ultimately reaching a point where everyone will be able to participate. We understand everyone's desire to 'burn in' and participate, we thank you in advance for your patience as we roll this out, and we promise it will be worth the wait
