One sad thing about this Cabal Alz game is that because of the quest-basesd system.
Now let's talk about the Battle System as well as the skills. Cabal alz has a feature called "Combo", which allows you to link as many skills as you can in exchange of some SP (Special Points), that you can obtain by dancing or killing monsters. You pratically will ALWAYS use the Combo feature, leaving the normal attacks behind (but if you encounter a weak monster, you'll probably use a normal attack or a single skill lol). One sad thing about this Cabal Alz game is that because of the quest-basesd system, parties pratically don't have much use, especially if the quest is a isolate dungeon that only your character can beat. But there are some "off-side" quests that allows to enter in dungeons wih a party.
