In the absence of direct physical contact, hearthstones are unable to operate as neither outbound voice relay nor physical homebound teleport, even if the hearthstone is not inside the shielded pouch. Depending on the manufacturing process and individual elements used, hearthstones are somewhat fragile and may break or fracture if dropped from a high distance or thrown with enough force. Granado Espada vis is not guaranteed if the hearthstone is cracked or otherwise damaged.
